Title I

What is Title I?
This program provides supplemental federal funding for improving student achievement, especially in high-poverty schools. This may include a variety of academic support, parent involvement and staff development to improve instruction and educational services for students.

How do schools qualify for Title I?
Schools must have 40% or more students eligible for free or reduced price lunch. Funding is used to meet the educational needs of low achieving students, especially in reading, language arts and mathematics.

How does my child qualify for Title I services?
All students in Title I schools are eligible for services. Services will focus on improving student academic
achievement, particularly for the lowest-achieving students.

The next Title I meeting will be in September 2024.
It will be held virtually or in person in the reading lab. Email Ms. Forshee at [email protected] for the virtual link.
