Webster's GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program is designed to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of advanced learners. GATE serves students in grades 4-6, and meets on Thursdays from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. in Room 29. This year GATE students will learn computer programming and engage in hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) activities.
Third grade students identified by their teachers as candidates for Webster’s GATE program are invited to take the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT) in the spring. Parents may also request their child be tested for the GATE program. Students who achieve a stanine score of 7 or above on the OLSAT qualify for Webster’s GATE program.
